Antes de continuar con la crónica del viaje dejadme que os comente sobre la casa rural http://www.posadatrechel.com/
Before telling you about the second day of our trip, let me make a comment about the hotel. http://www.posadatrechel.com/
It was, by large, the best we have ever had the opportunity to lodge in ..
A big, comfortable and warm room in a small town. A very quiet place for a good rest wich is, in my opinion, the most important part of a trip.
Nearby it is located the beautiful church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción
After a good breakfast, on a very cold morning, we started our second day
The first visit was one that I was wishing to see, the Archaeological Site of Tiermes
There we gather with the guide who will lead us trough the ancient city. The meeting point was the Santa María church.
The surrounding scenery was simply beautiful.
Our guide happened to be one of the chief researchers which gave us a great amount of data with the passion of those who love their jobs
This place is considered the Spanish Pompeya. People has lived here for 35 centuries
There are evidence from the neolithic period, bronze Age, Iron Age, Celtiberian culture, Roman empire, Visigoths and medieval age
The size of this place is outstanding and the architectonic solutions that you can see are simply amazing
We had a great time and I should also mention that they allowed our dog being with us.
I sincerely recommend it
And at the end of the visit, it was time for lunch... I will continue telling you more in the next chapter
