SORPRENDENTE FEBRERO. FEBRERO 2020. AMAZING FEBRUARY

 Febrero no suele ser un buen mes para el motociclismo en esta parte del mundo, pero este año logramos hacer tres hermosas rutas. Primero, visitamos a nuestros amigos y, para llegar allí, elegimos el camino más largo, por supuesto.

February isn't usually a good month for motorcycling in this part of the world but this year we manage to accomplish three lovely routes. First, we pay a visit to our friends, and to get there we chose the longest way of course.

Comer en este lugar solitario y apartado es ya una tradición.

Having our sandwiches in this lonely and secluded place is something of a tradition.

Descubrimos una nueva característica en el aparcamiento. Se está instalando un nuevo cargador de vehículos eléctricos.

We discovered a new feature in the car park. A new electric vehicles recharger being installed.

 La segunda ruta fue una de las grandes. Una cosa típica aquí es salir de la provincia a través de un puerto de montaña y regresar por otro.

The second route was one of the big ones. A typical thing for motorcyclists here is getting out of the province through a mountain pass and returning taking another one.

 Finalmente, nuestra tercera ruta paralela a la costa en dirección oeste hacia Luarca, donde reservamos una hermosa mesa para el almuerzo.

Finally our third route parallel to the coastline heading west to Luarca where we reserved a lovely table for lunch.

 Luego a Castropol para tomar un café junto al mar

Then to Castropol for a coffee by the sea

 Como dije, un febrero increíble.

PRIMERA SALIDA DE 2019 09/02/2019 FIRST RIDE OF 2019

Últimamente no hemos estado muy activos en términos de motociclismo con solo pequeñas salidas poco interesantes, pero finalmente, tenemos algo que mostrarte. Una ruta casi sin plan con algunos lugares de interés histórico. Nuestra primera parada fue en Colunga para visitar un refugio antiaéreo construido durante la Guerra Civil Española 1936-1939.

We have not been very active lately in terms of motorcycling with only uninteresting small outings but finally, we have something to show you.

An almost unplanned route with some historically interesting places.

Our first stop was at Colunga to visit an Air-raid shelter built during the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939.

 Luego subimos a El Fito donde podrá disfrutar de un maravilloso mirador.

Then we climb El Fito where you can enjoy a wonderful lookout.

 El clima es lo suficientemente bueno para almorzar afuera.

The weather is good enough to have lunch outside.

Es hora de ir aún más alto para ver la nieve. Sotres siempre es una apuesta segura.

 It is time to go even higher to see the snow.
Sotres is always a safe bet.

 Y ahora nos dirigimos a Colombres para visitar el Museo de la Emigración. Hemos estado allí muchas veces pero nunca visitamos su interior.

And now we head to Colombres to visit the Emigration Museum. We have been there many times but never visited its interior.

 Una lujosa mansión que vale la pena visitar.

A luxurious mansion worth visit.

 Argentina tiene para mí un significado especial. Mi abuela emigró allí en busca de una vida mejor.

Argentina has for me a special meaning. My grandmother emigrated there in search of a better life.

 Estar en Colombres y no detenerse en La Parra debería ser castigado. ¿No te parece?

Been at Colombres and not pull over at La Parra should be punished. Don't you think?

 Nuestra última parada en Ribadesella nos ofreció la oportunidad de ver música celta en vivo.

Our last stop at Ribadesella offered us the opportunity to see live Celtic music.

Una muy buena manera de retomar la moto después de dos meses de ausencia.
